Warwick, RI –On October 3, 2019, we held our 10 year celebration event for members and employers in the RI/MA market at the Harbor Lights Dining & Marina in Warwick, RI. There were over 100 guests attending this event. Steve Colella was honored for his dedication and commitment to the Job Club RI program. Presentations admiring his devotion were made by several Board Members and a Certificate of Accomplishment was presented to Steve from Senator Reed’s office.
We thank everyone for their sponsorships and donations to our celebration with a special thanks to Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare, New England Revolution, Citizens Bank, Douglas Lumber, and Lee Hecht & Harrison. We would also like to thank all our members that attended this celebration.

Job Club RI is pleased to announce that, for the second year in a row, the Institute of Museum and Library Services in Washington, DC has named West Warwick Public Library as a finalist for the National Medal for Museum and Library Service, the nation’s highest honor given to museums and libraries that demonstrate significant impact in their communities. Once again, they are the only institution in the state to be a finalist and are the first in Rhode Island to have been a finalist more than once in the history of the award. Cynthia Ring, Chief of Human Resources at Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare recently spoke on Navigating the Employment Market and the Hiring Process at one of our sessions. Cynthia Ring has served in a variety of Leadership roles within Human Resources over the last twenty years. Her current role is as Chief of Human Resources at Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare where she serves to champion a People and Business Strategy.

East Greenwich, RI –Job Club RI, in coordination with Ocean State Job Lot and the Red Stripe Restaurant in East Greenwich, RI, sponsored a networking event for employers in the RI/MA market. This event was organized to discuss ways to embrace Community Hiring programs such as Job Club RI to develop more productive and efficient partnerships. Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft and Patriots and Pro Football Hall of Famer Andre Tippett congratulate Stephen Colella from Job Club Rhode Island for being selected as a 2017 Myra Kraft Community MVP Award third prize winner. During the June 8 luncheon, the Kraft family and the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation awarded $200,000 in grants to 26 New England nonprofits. Steve Colella presented key skills necessary to conduct an effective job search to our veterans at Operation Stand Down on November 2, 2018. Operation Stand Down is an organization committed to helping veterans secure stable employment and housing. Tyler Smith & Erin Pavane from The–Hire, based out of Pawtucket, assisted in organizing this event.
